Special Needs Programs

Our special needs program is designed to help an adult with a developmental disability acquire the necessary skills to integrate and participate in society to their fullest potential. Through our partnership with the Douglas Hospital and the Action LaSalle Centre, students can participate in language, basic math, computer, and life skills classes.

Endeavour is a social integration-based special education program for adult learners with intellectual disabilities or autism spectrum disorder run through Place Cartier Adult Education Centre, and also in partnership with the West Montreal Readaptaion Centre and the West Island Association for the Intellectually Handicapped.

We are proud to offer some of the only programs in Quebec geared towards special needs adults. Featuring a variety of exciting hands-on activities, our programs are designed to offer adults the chance to develop career-based skills in addition to soft skills like accounting, cooking, personal hygiene, social skills, and more.  All of our programs are provided by certified teachers and special needs educators. Because not every student is the same, we also pride ourselves on personalized intake process that takes into consideration each student’s very specific educational and healthcare needs. Programs generally start in the Fall.
