Private Security Guard Training


About the training:

Our Private Security Guard Training is recognized by the Bureau de la Sécurité Privé (BSP) and is a mandatory course for anyone wishing to work as a Private Security Guard in Quebec. The overall training is based on the requirements of the Private Security Act in Quebec and meets Canadian licensing standards.

Training Breakdown
  • Environment, functions, legislation and the norms of behaviour (30 hours)
  • Emergency Response Procedures (24 hours)

  • To promote knowledge about the scope of the private security field
  • To promote an understanding and respect for the new Private Security Act and the legal framework regulating private security activities
  • To develop professional character and spirit
  • To promote professionalism, and good conduct at all times among private security workers
  • To explain the role and the mission of security guards
  • To facilitate the access and integration to the workforce
Admission Conditions

To be eligible for admission to this program, candidates must meet one of the following requirements:

Persons holding a Secondary School Diploma or its recognized equivalent, for example, an Attestation of Equivalence of Secondary V studies, or a postsecondary diploma such as the Diploma of College Studies or a Bachelor's degree.


Persons who are at least 18 years of age upon entry into the program and have the following functional prerequisites: the successful completion of the General Development Test, or recognition of equivalent learning
