Returning to school (SARCA)

SARCA is an information service for adults who are considering a return to school.

We evaluate your academic file, help you identify your goals, and then work with you to develop an action plan. Students have our ongoing support as they work towards achieving their personal and professional goals.

The program is designed to provide help to the following groups of people:

  • Individuals without a first diploma (DES or DEP), especially if they are under 30 years of age
  • Disabled persons
  • Immigrants
  • Members of Native communities
  • People in the workplace who are 45 and over

We also offer Secondary School Equivalency Tests (TENS).   For more information, please click here.

Your questions answered

I’m still in high school, can I talk to a SARCA counsellor?

We do meet with high school students often, but you must be at least 16 years of age to access SARCA services.

Will I have to pay for SARCA services?

Services are free and they’re confidential.
